Looking forward to Neko Case

Neko Case, the queen of alt-country, performs with Joey and John of Calexico June 2 at the Pantages Theater in Tacoma.

Case, who spent much of her youth in Tacoma, recently released a terrific new album, “Middle Cyclone.” Her blend of traditional and alternative country and punk rock is powerful, haunting and often melancholy.
