I believe that an audience of last night's 15 thousand or a house party of fifty people would make no difference reflecting back every bit of joy that this woman puts into her song and stagecraft. And James Taylor was a splendid partner in the night's proceedings, ever the gentleman, able to present such an array of songwork into an egoless package that somehow felt intimate, even in a sold out arena. As a veteran event presenter, I've been standing just offstage with many an artist, and very very few are able to make one feel as closeup as these guys! A nice night and a nice start to a tour that America's going to love.
