Boston's Battle of the Tech Bands 3

Boston's Battle of the Tech Bands 3

If you’re planning to be in Boston in early February, mark you calendar for Xconomy’s Battle of the Tech Bands 3: Seattle vs. Boston.

For the last two years, bands from innovative New England companies have been battling for supremacy. But now the competition is going cross-country. (Read my review of last year’s battle of the bands at Pyramid Alehouse near Safeco Field.)

The Boston competition Feb. 4 includes the following bands: From Seattle, it’s Lions Ambition (represent Boeing) and Juda’s Wake (representing Microsoft). Both bands competed in last year’s Battle of the Tech Bands in Seattle. Read about it here.

From Boston, it’s Dirty Truckers (representing American Well) and Deadbeat Darling (representing Pictela).

The Boston showdown is at Middle East Restaurant & Nightclub, 472 Massachusetts Ave., Cambridge. Doors open at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $25 advance, $35 at the door. Purchase tickets here. (Seattle people can take I-90 all the way to Boston.)

Proceeds benefit Boston organizations Science Club for Girls and Year Up Boston.
