Seattle rock band Alice in Chains, key players in the Seattle rock explosion of the early ’90s, performs Sept. 24 at the Moore Theatre.

Tickets, $25, go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, July 31, at Tickets.com, at the Paramount Theatre box office, at 24-hour kiosks outside the Moore and Paramount theaters, online at STGPresents.org and through the charge-by-phone number, 877-STG.4TIX.

The buzz about Alice in Chains’ new album, due in August, is already building. The September show will include songs from the CD, “Black Gives Way to Blue.” The band gave away the first single, “A Looking in View,” for free.

The reunited band features Jerry Cantrell, Sean Kinney, Mike Inez and William DuVall (of Comes With the Fall), who is filling in for the late Layne Staley, who died in April 2002. The eighth annual tribute concert for Staley is Aug. 22 at Showbox at the Market. Read an earlier blog post on the event here.
