Doe Bay Fest brings indie-music crowds to idyllic Orcas Island resort
It was definitely a case of “three’s a charm” for the third annual Doe Bay Fest on Orcas Island.

Layne Staley Tribute draws My Sister’s Machine, Shawn Smith and others
The 2010 Layne Staley Tribute and Benefit Concert features reunited Seattle grunge band My Sister’s Machine, as well as Shawn Smith (with All Hail the Crown), Villains of Yesterday and Gunn & the Damage Done, at 7:30 p.m. Saturday (Aug. 21) at Showbox at the Market.

PHOTO GALLERY: Rush brings its ‘Time Machine’ to White River Amphitheatre
Canadian band Rush brought its classic hard-rock sound to the White River Amphitheatre Saturday (Aug. 7) for a two-part performance plus encore.
The band’s “Time Machine 2010 Tour” started in late June in Albuquerque, N.M., and wraps up Oct. 2 in West Palm Beach, Fla.
