John Legend heads to Chateau

Those lucky enough to have tickets to neo-soul singer and pianist John Legend’s concert Friday, Aug. 28, at Chateau Ste. Michelle, will be interested in this New York Times review of his recent show at Madison Square Garden.
Critic Jon Caramanica describes Legend as “a soul gentleman with a latent naughty streak.”

Remembering the Beatles

Beatlemania consumed Seattle when the Fab Four played its first concert in 1964.
The Edgewater Hotel, apparently the only Seattle hotel to accept them as guests, will celebrate the 45th anniversary of the Beatles’ stay at the hotel and the Fab Four’s first Seattle concert with a series of events Aug. 21.
